| | Bilateral Cultural Co-operation
Bilateral cultural co-operation projects promote exchanges and co-operation in the area of cultural awareness
and intercultural dialogue with European and non-European countries.
They may be based on intergovernmental agreements (such as cultural agreements or memoranda of understanding)
or on direct contacts. Against the backdrop of increasing globalisation, targeted bilateral co-operation supplements
multilateral co-operation and thus supports synergy effects and mutual benefits.
