Drama education uses many different approaches to turn theatre from a passive viewing experience to a
participative, intellectual and emotional process for people of any age.
Taking a look behind the
scenes, talking to theatre people, trying out acting: drama education offers the possibility of playing with movement,
voice, sound, space, and material. It is a kind of rehearsal of real life. This promotes creativity, social
interaction, tolerance, and the ability to communicate and reduces the fear of embarking on something new – but even
more importantly: it is great fun.
