DESCRIPTION
The "Europe´s Youth Gets To Know Vienna" campaign, a programme being run in conjunction with the
"Austria´s Youth Gets To Know Its Capital City" campaign by the Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and
Culture, is offering young people an opportunity to spend a week in Vienna to get to know the significance to Austria
of its capital city in terms of its history, culture, economy, domestic and foreign policy and administration as well
as an opportunity to meet other young people from all over the world.

1. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION The campaign is open to groups of young people
consisting of at least ten participants between the ages of 14 and 30, from schools, youth organisations, companies,
etc. headed by a responsible tour manager.
2. DURATION OF STAY Participants will stay in Vienna for one week, arriving on a
Sunday and leaving on the following Saturday. Scheduled arrival and departure times should be indicated on the
registration from Groups will NOT be met at stations or the airport. Arrangements may be made with the managers of the
homes where the groups will be staying for the connecting journey, which will be paid for by the participants and is
not included in the participation fee.
3. ACCOMMODATION Participants will be staying in youth hostels.
4. BOARD Three meals a day will be provided, the first being breakfast on the
Monday and the last being breakfast on the Saturday.
5. PROGRAMME A separate programme will be drawn up for each group, based on
specific requests and according to the dates of the visit. In addition to the items mentioned on the previous page, the
programme will also include a visit to the theatre or a musical event (concert, operetta, opera, etc.). The programme
will start on the Monday morning and will end on the Friday evening. The groups will have at their disposal trained
employees of the Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture for support and advice for the duration of their stay
as necessitated by the programme. All guided tours will be conducted in German.
6. PARTICIPATION FEE The participation fee will be € 185,70 per person. The
participation fee will include all the costs of accommodation, board and visits as well as a network card for the
vienna public transport for sightseeing use. Participation fees for the entire group should be paid 2 weeks before
participation, but latest during the stay in Vienna by bank transfer to: Oesterreichische Postsparkasse, account
number: 5030.518 "Wien-Aktion", "Europa-Aktion", 1010 Vienna. (BIC: OPSKATWW / IBAN: AT 73 600000000 5030518) Groups
who will have a coach at their disposal in Vienna will have the cost of a 7-day network card on Viennese public
transport per person € 12,50 and the cost of the coach trip to Klosterneuburg and Kahlenberg € 52.- per coach
reimbursed. These amounts will be refunded to the tour manager during the stay in Vienna.
7. REGISTRATION AND CORRESPONDENCE All applications and registrations should be

for organisational reasons, and should state the probable number of participants.
