kulturleben.at is selected and evaluated by the editorial committee. kulturleben.at makes no claim of completeness but
provides selected examples of and links to Austrian culture. The selection of sources, topics, links and news is made
exclusively on the basis of analyses of potential benefits for the target audience.

Selection of links
Links which are recommended by partners or users are checked primarily by the editors for their potential
benefit. kulturleben.at is independent in the selection of links and is not under any obligation to link to pages
recommended by any party or institution. The main selection criterion is utility for our users. The links are
periodically checked for their availability and topicality. The selection of links to be included on kulturleben.at is
necessarily subjective.
The editors select the links based on the following critera:
- Austria: unique, expressive, interesting, relating to cultural life in Austria in the broadest sense of
the term, invested wherever possible with a special national focus or reference;
- Institutions: pages created by an individual or an organisation which can be clearly identified and
with sufficient qualification to publish information on the respective topic;
- "Informative" and relating to education;
- Pages that are well maintained, i.e. pages that are complete, valid, carefully made and comprehensive.
Specific reasons for non-inclusion:
- Links to pages of Austrian citizens residing in Austria but which make no reference to an Austrian
topic;
- Pages with short-lived content, e.g. pages referring to one single event or conference. An exception
can be made for pages which provide content that can be used for research or educational purposes even after the
event/conference;
- Pages which commercially advertise a product or services, except if the page contains information on
educationally useful content;
- Pages containing discriminating, hurtful or defamatory statements;
- Pages containing content liable of prosecution, including racist, pornographic or similar content.
Intellectual property
Content made available on kulturleben.at through links remains the property of the institution which created
the content, irrespective of where the pages are hosted.
